  question: should able-bodied actors play characters with disabilities?.

  i got myself into a bit of a quandary over a discussion on a facebook group.

  it was partly based on this article in the guardian:.

  Actors act.

  Anybody can play anybody. Whites can play blacks, blacks can play whites.

  After the show people judge how good the acting was

  You are only as good as your last show.

  this ain't your grandaddy's governing body!.

  dubs have been saying this a lot lately in my area.

  i haven't said this yet, but all i can think is, "yeah, i wonder if that's what xtians were thinking after the apostles died back in the day.

  Your grand daddy did not have a governing body.

  They just had a president back in the old days.

  When I was a witness back in the 50's, 60's and 70's

  Brother Knorr ran everything by himself.

  I never heard of a governing body.

  not able to do so... the posting progress is just stuck and nothing happens.

  first i thought may be the pics were too big.

  re sized them and still nothing... any ideas?

  I think the pictures have to come from another site not your computer.

  The pictures have to be on Facebook or some other location then you right click on them and copy them to this site and then paste.

   

  I can not post a picture from my pictures on my computer to this site.

  How did you get through mind numbing meetings?

  I was born in.

  When I was a child I had to go and sit there was no choice.

  Then I married a girl from the hall.

  And I fell for the Armageddon bull crap.

  Once 75 came and went,

  I found any reason I could to not go to the meetings.

  When I was a witness, I was going to school to be a court reporter, stenographer.

  I would take my machine to the meetings and practice typing every word that was said.

  I was able to kill two birds with one stone.

   

  I had to practice until I could write two people talking at 225 words a minute.

  It wasn't any more boring than typing jury charges and court testimonies.

  i hardly post any more.

  i figured there would be more activity than this.

  I was able to get on today without any problems.

  First time ever on the new site.

  That is an improvement.

  I have to really be determined to get on,

  But so far as long as I am willing to persist, I get on.

  There seems to be progress being made.

  Originally the site would not respond to long running scripts,

  That doesn't seem to be the case recently,

  I just get a notice that the site is not responding, then I click on the bubble and it restarts the program.

  I never had these problems on the old site.

  I think its a problem of working out the bugs with the new technology.

  It reminds me a lot of the problems of surfing off of Facebook advertisements, the long running scripts and pages not responding. 

  I spend 4 or 5 hours a day on the computer and this site is the most difficult to get on.

  But once I decide to persist and get on it seems to be alright.

   

  I don't know how many people have the internet experience and patience that I have,

  If the volume of members is low they might just be going to places that are easier to get to.

  Water and most people take the course of lease resistance.
